Chef Lim Seong-geun recently addressed the rumors surrounding the "sale and cancellation of opening of the Paju restaurant" that have been heating up online, stating that they are "completely unfounded." He emphasized that he is preparing for the opening as planned while correcting the misinformation.
On the 3rd, Chef Lim clarified in a media interview, "The controversial sale banner is not for my restaurant but for the building right next to it." He explained that due to the angle of the photo, it was misunderstood as if his restaurant was up for sale. He added, "The neighboring building put up a fence and marked it, which led to the misunderstanding."
Chef Lim continued, "The restaurant is on track to open in March as originally planned, and I will soon hang a formal opening banner to quell the confusion," he reported.
This incident arose earlier that morning when a photo of Chef Lim's Paju restaurant building was posted on an online community. The author raised suspicions of construction halting and sale based on the 'for sale' wording on the building's exterior, but this was quickly clarified as a simple misunderstanding by Chef Lim's immediate explanation.
Meanwhile, Chef Lim Seong-geun had previously bowed his head in apology for past controversies, including drunk driving, expressing his intention to reflect. He stated, "As the head chef of the Paju restaurant, I want to seek forgiveness from the public through healthy food." With Chef Lim reaffirming his intention to open, public interest is now focused on the new restaurant he will unveil.
