Kim Tae-hee's sister and former agency representative Kim Hee-won has been confirmed to have had her apartment seized due to unpaid health insurance premiums. The arrears have now been paid, and the seizure has been lifted.
On the 30th, Kim Tae-hee's agency Story J Company explained the situation, stating, "Kim Hee-won is currently residing in the U.S., making it difficult to check her mail," and added, "It was a simple incident that occurred after she belatedly became aware of the health insurance premium arrears." They also clarified that this is a personal matter completely unrelated to Kim Tae-hee.
The Seongdong branch of the National Health Insurance Corporation seized the apartment owned by representative Kim Hee-won located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on December 29 of last year. Subsequently, the seizure was finally lifted on the 19th after the unpaid premiums were fully paid.
The seized apartment is part of a complex completed in 2000, and the unit owned by Kim is known to have a dedicated area of 208.14㎡ (approximately 68 pyeong), making it a large-sized unit.
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-hee married singer and actor Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) in 2017 and has two daughters. She is continuing her global activities, recently confirming her appearance in the Amazon Prime Video series 'Butterfly'.
