RM (Kim Nam-joon), a member of BTS, has donated 100 million won to the National Museum of Korea Association, a nonprofit organization that supports the National Museum of Korea.
The National Museum of Korea Association supports the acquisition of artifacts, academic research and the development of museum facilities. The donation will be used to purchase collection items and support artifact donations to the museum. The association previously purchased and donated to the museum a Joseon-era box decorated with a mother-of-pearl lotus-and-vine pattern and Hwang Gi-ro’s “Cursive Script,” among other works.
RM, who was appointed a global ambassador for the National Museum of Korea in June, will continue supporting cultural and artistic initiatives through the donation.
