Singer G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong) is the only Korean artist to perform on the prestigious charity event "Yellow Coin Collection" stage in France for two consecutive years.
His agency, Galaxy Corporation, announced that G-Dragon has been invited by Brigitte Macron, the First Lady of France, to participate in the charity event taking place on the 22nd of this month at the La Défense Arena in Paris, local time.
The "Yellow Coin Collection" campaign is a historic project that has been continued by the French Hospital Foundation since 1989. It is held annually to raise funds for the construction of children's hospitals and support for youth mental health, with Mrs. Macron currently serving as the chairperson of the foundation. G-Dragon is said to have decided to participate again this year after deeply resonating with the noble purpose of the event.
G-Dragon participated as a representative artist of Korea in last year's performance, receiving enthusiastic praise from local audiences and major media. Recently, he showcased overwhelming ticket power by attracting about 29,000 spectators at his world tour concert held in Paris, drawing attention to his performance at this charity stage as well.
In addition to G-Dragon, the K-pop group Stray Kids will also participate for the second consecutive year, along with a glamorous lineup of global pop stars including Christina Aguilera, Mika, and A$AP Rocky. Additionally, renowned classical performers such as cellist Gautier Capuçon will take the stage to complete a rich performance.
The live broadcast of the charity performance will be recorded and aired on the French terrestrial channel France 2 on the 30th. It is expected that G-Dragon's music and message will reach audiences across Europe.
Meanwhile, after completing his overseas schedule, G-Dragon will continue to meet with domestic fans. He plans to hold his first solo fan meeting since his debut at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Seoul, from the 6th to the 8th of next month, spending special time with fans.
