Global boy group AEN (AEN) whetted expectations for polished music and a unique concept through a debut title-track music video teaser. On Aug. 1, AEN posted the first teaser video for the title track of its first mini-album, “X to Z (Next to me),” via its official SNS and YouTube channel.
In the video, an otherworldly sequence unfolds beginning with mysterious footprints running across a carpet, as the boundaries between time and space grow blurred. Meaning-laden, riddle-like objects such as feathers, a water cup, and a door appear, sparking a range of interpretations among fans. In particular, the lyrics revealed in the latter part of the video deliver the message “I will always stay by your side,” leaving a strong aftertaste.

AEN is the team created by adding a new Japanese member, Haruto, to the lineup formed through Starship Project “Debut Plan,” which initially featured Ji-yong, Bo-min, Kyu-hyun, Ha-ru, Jun-seo, and Kai-ra. From before the official release of their original audio, they have demonstrated standout buzz, proving their global potential as they move back and forth between major broadcast media in Korea and Japan.
The seven members brought together on the strength of a solid narrative are expected to leave a powerful impression on the global K-pop market based on their distinctive vocal tones and performance capabilities.
