The group BTS will hold a comeback stage that will shake the world in March at Seoul Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Korean history. This is drawing the attention of fans worldwide as it marks their full group return stage after a military hiatus of 3 years and 9 months.
On the 22nd, the Seoul City announced that it has decided to grant conditional usage approval for the 'BTS 2026 Comeback Show @ Seoul' concert applied for by HYBE and Big Hit Music during the '1st Gwanghwamun Square Advisory Committee Meeting for 2026'. The city plans to finalize the approval process as soon as the safety management plan review and traffic measures are supplemented. Previously, the Cultural Heritage Administration also conditionally approved the concert on the 20th after reviewing its impact on cultural heritage.
This concert will be held for free at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. In particular, BTS is expected to unveil the stage for their new song from their 5th studio album 'Arirang', which will be released on March 20, for the first time on this stage. It is anticipated to be a meaningful occasion as they reunite with fans in an official setting for the first time in about 3 years and 5 months since the concert held to wish for the Busan Expo in 2022.
The new album 'Arirang' solidifies BTS's identity as a group that originated from Korea, while musically sublimating the longing and deep love that resides in the hearts of the members. Their music, which will resonate in Gwanghwamun, a symbolic space in Korea, is expected to provide a deep resonance to global listeners.
Meanwhile, starting with the Gwanghwamun concert, BTS will embark on a full-scale world tour. They plan to meet global fans by touring cities around the world, starting with concerts in Seoul at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9 and 11-12.
