BTS's Jungkook has once again made history on the U.S. Billboard charts. With his unyielding popularity, he continues to break records, proving his status as a 'global pop star.'

According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music media Billboard (dated January 17, 2026), Jungkook's solo debut song 'Seven' ranked 145th on the 'Global 200' chart. This is a three-step rise from the previous week, showcasing remarkable resurgence power despite a significant amount of time since its release. Notably, this song has set a monumental record of 128 consecutive weeks on the chart, establishing the longest charting record for both Asian groups and solo artists.

Jungkook's achievements are even more pronounced on the 'Global (Excluding the U.S.)' chart. 'Seven' jumped an impressive 11 spots to settle at 79th place on this chart. Thus, Jungkook has succeeded in becoming the first Asian solo artist to chart for 130 consecutive weeks, further solidifying his position as a global superstar.

The performance on detailed charts is also remarkable. 'Seven' re-entered the 'Billboard Korea Hot 100' chart at 96th place, and on the 'Global K-Songs' chart, 'Seven' (16th), 'Standing Next To You' (54th), and '3D' (64th) all charted simultaneously. Particularly, 'Seven' topped the 'Billboard Vietnam Hot 100' chart, showcasing its strong influence in the Southeast Asian market.

Previously, 'Seven' debuted at number one on the Billboard main singles chart, the 'Hot 100', and remained there for 15 weeks, leaving behind a remarkable record of 9 consecutive weeks at number one on the 'Global (Excluding the U.S.)' chart and 7 consecutive weeks at number one on the 'Global 200'. It also made history by being the first K-pop solo artist to remain on the UK Official Singles Chart for 14 consecutive weeks, dominating the European market.

The performance on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, is also overwhelming. 'Seven' has remained on the 'Weekly Top Song Global' chart for 130 weeks, achieving the miracle of surpassing 2.73 billion cumulative streams, the first for a song by an Asian artist.

In this way, Jungkook monopolizes the descriptors of 'first' and 'longest' in major global music markets, establishing a solid position as a solo artist who captures the attention of the world, beyond just being a member of a simple idol group.
