The group BTS is finally returning as a full group after a long silence of 3 years and 9 months. They have confirmed the release of their 5th regular album on March 20, and starting in April, they will embark on the largest world tour in K-Pop history.
According to their agency Big Hit Music on the 15th, BTS will kick off the '2026 BTS WORLD TOUR' with performances at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9 and 11-12. This tour will cover North America, Europe, South America, and Asia, with a confirmed schedule of 34 cities and a total of 79 performances. This is the largest scale for a single tour in K-Pop history.
The response from foreign media is also enthusiastic. The American economic magazine Forbes praised, "This tour will be the most extensive journey in the team's history," stating that it has set a new standard for world tours by Korean artists. CNN also noted the significance of this comeback, calling it the return of the protagonists who made K-Pop a global cultural phenomenon.
In particular, this tour includes BTS's first visit to Argentina, raising expectations across South America. Local media in Argentina are treating this not just as a concert but as a 'national cultural event,' expressing high hopes for the scene where the capital Buenos Aires will be bathed in purple.
The regular 5th album, which will open the curtain on the world tour, consists of 14 tracks that capture the honest emotions and concerns the members have felt during this time. To promote this, large-scale promotions, including major outdoor advertisements, are currently being carried out in major cities around the world such as New York, Tokyo, London, and Paris.
Big Hit Music has announced performances in Busan on June 12-13 following the Goyang concert, and plans to sequentially reveal additional performance schedules in Japan and the Middle East. As BTS returns amid the anticipation of fans worldwide, all eyes are on what unprecedented records they will set through this activity.
