Victim of a 1.5 Billion Won Jeonse Fraud, fitness trainer Yang Chi-seung has started a new chapter in his life as an ordinary office worker after overcoming hardships, and the public is showing their support.
On the 8th, Yang Chi-seung posted a video titled 'Yang Chi-seung, Why I Went Crazy for Tteokbokki After Losing 1.5 Billion' on his YouTube channel 'Yang Chi-seung's MakTube'. He invited fans and served them food he cooked himself, sharing his recent updates and feelings candidly.
In the video, Yang Chi-seung particularly drew attention by stating, "I became a formal office worker starting this year". He explained that he accepted an offer from a service company specializing in apartment community and building management, deciding to join after seeing the company's future vision.
Currently, Yang Chi-seung is overseeing the management of all facilities, including a swimming pool, golf course, Pilates studio, and café, at a large community center located in Gangnam, Seoul. Having only run personal businesses like food stalls and gyms since his twenties, he mentioned, "This is my first time living as an office worker" and that he is "adjusting to a new routine with a 9 AM start every day".
Previously, Yang Chi-seung suffered the pain of losing assets worth about 1.5 billion won due to a jeonse fraud last year, and even had to close the gym he had operated for a long time. At that time, he confessed his devastating feelings through broadcasts, evoking sympathy from many.
However, even amidst adversity, his strong beliefs are being highlighted, adding warmth to the story. When his past act of donating all 40 million won earned from stock investments was mentioned, Yang Chi-seung stated, "I thought money earned easily without sweating is not my money", revealing his commitment to avoid becoming complacent, which led him to decide to donate.
Fans gathered from all over the country attended the event to support his new challenge. Yang Chi-seung expressed his determination for a second life, saying, "I will gain strength through tteokbokki and work hard to carve out my life again."
