Surprise announcement of comeback on April 30 during their first solo tour... Title track 'It's Me' to continue global success

The group ILLIT is making a powerful return to the music scene with a new album that captures their unique emotions after about 10 months.

Their agency, Belift Lab, announced on the 16th that ILLIT will release their new album 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' on April 30. The title track has been confirmed as 'It’s Me'. ILLIT surprised fans with this news during their first tour concert held on April 14 and 15 at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Songpa-gu, Seoul, receiving explosive responses.

The new album name 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' is derived from the language of the South American night people, meaning 'a subtle glance exchanged in a situation where both desire each other but no one takes the first step'. It has a profound and unique meaning that has been registered in the Guinness World Records as 'the most difficult word to translate in the world', raising public expectations for the musical synergy it will create with ILLIT's quirky and kitschy concept.

ILLIT proved their solid live performance and stage presence for 120 minutes during the Seoul concert, covering everything from their mini-album to their latest single. They showcased a unique stage setup that felt like passing through levels of a game, along with pixel art direction, firmly establishing their identity known as 'ILLIT Core'. They perfectly recreated the unit stage of their mission song from the audition program, demonstrating their musical growth.

After successfully finishing the concert, the members expressed, "Thanks to our fans, we were able to successfully press the new start button," and added, "This has become a meaningful opportunity to rekindle our passion as we approach our 2nd debut anniversary." ILLIT, showcasing overwhelming ticket power with sold-out shows and additional seats opened due to high demand, will officially embark on a global tour starting in June, visiting major cities in Japan and Hong Kong.

With a solid global fandom and an irreplaceable concept, ILLIT is drawing the attention of K-pop fans worldwide for their new musical transformation set to debut at the end of April.
