Taemin, a member of the group SHINee, has announced a new leap as a global artist by settling into Galaxy Corporation, the agency of singer G-Dragon.
On the 11th, Galaxy Corporation officially announced that they have signed an exclusive contract with Taemin. The agency emphasized that they will spare no effort in providing full support so that Taemin's unique artistic capabilities can create explosive synergy with their cutting-edge technology. As a result, Taemin will be working alongside top artists in various fields, including G-Dragon, actor Song Kang-ho, and singer Kim Jong-kook.
This transfer for Taemin comes about 1 year and 10 months after leaving SM Entertainment, where he had been for 16 years since his debut, and moving to Big Planet Made Entertainment. His decision, which shows no fear of change, is interpreted as a desire for a larger stage.
His first step with the new agency is undoubtedly on the world stage. Taemin will perform at the largest music festival in North America, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in Indio, California, from April 11 to 18. Notably, he will set a historic record as the first male solo artist of Korean nationality to take the Coachella stage. Coincidentally, G-Dragon's group Big Bang, which is also part of the same agency, is included in this year's Coachella lineup, raising high expectations among global fans.
