ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Their Court' has set a new record for its highest ratings, proving its terrifying upward trend. The shocking ending where the protagonist Lee Na-young confronts her past trauma overwhelmed viewers at home.
The ratings for the 7th episode, aired on the 23rd, recorded 4.3% nationwide and 4.2% in the metropolitan area. In this episode, the identity of the mysterious Green Hood Han Min-seo and her suspicious actions were revealed, heightening the tension. Han Min-seo, while staying close to Yoon Ra-young (played by Lee Na-young) in exchange for providing information to law firm L&J, continued to engage in questionable behavior, such as concealing evidence of murder. Particularly shocking was the fact that Han Min-seo was the one who suggested a meeting while communicating with Park Sang-ah, the daughter of Park Je-yeol (played by Seo Hyun-woo), as an anonymous friend on social media.
The urgent cooperation of the surrounding characters also shone through. Kang Shin-jae formalized her engagement with Baek Tae-joo, laying the groundwork for her independence, while Detective Koo Seon-kyu, husband of Hwang Hyun-jin, decided to help his wife in tracking down the truth of the incident from 20 years ago. They announced the beginning of a counterattack by rescuing victims of a prostitution app through technical support.
Above all, the heartbreaking story of Yoon Ra-young's obsession with representing victims of sexual violence was revealed. 20 years ago, she gave birth to a daughter due to dating violence inflicted by Park Je-yeol, but her tragic past forced her to put the child up for adoption amidst deep wounds. Yoon Ra-young opened up her pain to persuade Hong Yeon-hee, who was trapped in the same hell, to save her, and Hong Yeon-hee also made a decision to protect her daughter.
However, towards the end of the broadcast, the situation took a sudden turn. Park Je-yeol, who had caught on to all the facts, sent a false rescue request to Yoon Ra-young using Hong Yeon-hee. As Yoon Ra-young entered her home, risking danger, the sound of the door locking behind her was heard along with Park Je-yeol's voice saying, "I’ve been waiting, Ra-young." This chilling ending recreated the fear from 20 years ago.
As the revenge drama becomes increasingly intricate and the intertwined narratives of the characters enhance immersion, attention is drawn to how Yoon Ra-young, who is in a life-and-death crisis, will navigate this situation. Episode 8 of 'Honor: Their Court' will air on the 24th at 10 PM on ENA.
