The group BLACKPINK is the first K-Pop artist to partner with the National Museum of Korea to showcase the charm of South Korea's cultural heritage to the world. This is an unprecedented project that goes beyond simple album promotion, blending tradition and modernity.
According to YG Entertainment on the 12th, BLACKPINK will present the 'National Museum X BLACKPINK Project' from the 26th to the 8th of next month. This event, planned to celebrate the release of their mini album 'DEADLINE', has been expanded in scale with the participation of the global platform Spotify as a partner.
During the event period, the National Museum of Korea will be illuminated in vibrant pink lights, which are BLACKPINK's symbolic colors. Notably, the members will participate in recording audio guides for 8 national treasure-level artifacts, drawing attention. They will serve as guides to convey the deep value of Korean cultural heritage to visitors from around the world.
The most groundbreaking attempt is the 'Listening Session'. A space will be set up in front of the Stele of King Gwanggaeto located on the 'Path of History' within the museum, where fans can preview BLACKPINK's new song. This unique experience, where popular music meets the solemn space of cultural heritage, is expected to provide fans with a fresh shock.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's mini album 'DEADLINE' will be officially released on the 27th at 2 PM. It will include a total of 5 tracks, including the title song 'GO', 'Jump', 'Me and My', 'Champion', and 'Fxxxboy', showcasing BLACKPINK's most brilliant present.
