The stars of the Netflix show 'Black and White Chef' invite viewers into their homes, not just the kitchen. On the 5th at 10 PM, MBC's 'Save Me! Homes' will feature a tour of the so-called 'Black and White District' where the chefs reside.
In this episode, 'Cooking Maniac' Yoon Nam-no and 'Goddess of Chinese Cuisine' Chef Park Eun-young team up with broadcaster Kim Sook. They will explore the areas of Yongsan and Gangnam, where many chefs' restaurants are located, revealing the chefs' actual living spaces and behind-the-scenes stories that have been shrouded in mystery.
The most shocking revelation came from the home of 'Rebellious Genius' Chef Lee Chan-yang, who is active in a restaurant in Cheongdam-dong. Although he works in Gangnam, he has been living in Yongsan for six years, loving its unique vibe, and showcased a 180-degree reversal of his daily life that contrasts with his perfectionism at work.
Chef Lee Chan-yang's refrigerator left the cast in disbelief. Expired ingredients were left in the refrigerator, and the freezer was in such a state of thick frost that it was impossible to identify its contents. Upon seeing this, Chef Yoon Nam-no expressed, "Chefs pour all their energy into managing the restaurant's refrigerator, so they often neglect their homes," representing his colleague's struggles.
In particular, Chef Lee Chan-yang revealed, "I hardly cook at home, so my gas bill is only 100 won." This statement drew surprise. However, he attempted a twist by sharing his unique 'special ramen' recipe that he enjoys making. Chef Yoon Nam-no, who participated in a blind taste test wearing a blindfold, reportedly was captivated by the recipe after tasting the broth and kept expressing admiration.
The warm personal lives of professional chefs and Chef Lee Chan-yang's special ramen secret can be seen on MBC's 'Save Me! Homes' on the night of the 5th.
