Shin Ji-hyo, daughter of comedian Shin Dong-yeop and PD Sun Hye-yoon, has announced her acceptance to Seoul National University following her acceptance to Korea National University of Arts (KNUA), stepping onto the 'elite course'.
Recently, a ballet academy announced through its official social media that it congratulates graduate Shin Ji-hyo on her acceptance to Seoul National University for the 2026 academic year. According to the academy, she has been officially accepted into the Department of Physical Education at Seoul National University. A representative stated, "It’s impressive to see her achieving her long-held goals one by one."
Shin Ji-hyo has been specializing in ballet, having attended Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School. She has garnered attention in online communities for her elegant appearance, which reflects the best traits of her father Shin Dong-yeop and mother PD Sun Hye-yoon.
This is not the first time Shin Ji-hyo has succeeded in her entrance exams. Last September, she achieved the remarkable feat of being accepted into the Korea National University of Arts Dance Department, known as the elite course in the dance world. At that time, the academy expressed affection, stating, "She is a proud student who has grown with us from the kindergarten class at age 5 to university entrance exams."
Shin Dong-yeop also showed his emotional reaction to his daughter's achievements. During a recording of his YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung' last October, he was visibly moved upon hearing the news of his daughter's acceptance to KNUA, proving his 'daughter fool' side.
Meanwhile, Shin Dong-yeop and MBC PD Sun Hye-yoon have been married since 2006 and are known as a representative couple in the entertainment industry. They have a daughter, Ji-hyo, born in 2007, and a son, Gyu-wan, born in 2010.
