"Don't I have to do something?"
Comedian Park Na-rae, who has temporarily suspended her broadcasting activities due to a legal battle with her former manager, has stepped out into the world despite the -12 degree cold. The place she headed to was none other than a 'traditional liquor education center'.
On the evening of the 21st, Park Na-rae was spotted in front of a traditional liquor education institution located in downtown Seoul. This was the first time she appeared in front of reporters since the conflict with her former manager arose. Covering her face with a mask and hat, she moved quietly with an acquaintance, being conscious of her surroundings.
When met at the scene, Park Na-rae cautiously greeted, saying, "I came to attend a class." When asked about her current situation, she responded with a faint smile, "Don't I have to do something?" However, she remained cautious and refrained from commenting on sensitive issues such as the embezzlement lawsuit.
What Park Na-rae chose was a specialized course to learn the methods of making traditional liquors such as makgeolli and dongdongju. It is interpreted that she is finding emotional stability through learning, even amidst the trial of her activity suspension, as she has shown passion for obtaining a sommelier certification and cooking through programs like 'I Live Alone'.
An accompanying acquaintance explained, "Park Na-rae is currently going through a very difficult and lonely time psychologically," adding, "She carefully chose a place to focus on an area she has always been interested in to overcome her difficulties." They continued, "She is also preparing to sincerely engage in the upcoming police investigation and legal procedures."
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae has been in a legal battle with two former managers over embezzlement issues since December of last year. Amid conflicting claims and whereabouts of the opposing managers, Park Na-rae focused on brewing classes for about an hour and a half before quietly returning home, continuing her time of reflection and learning.
