Actor Jo In-sung expressed that acting is 'survival' ahead of the release of the movie 'Humint', candidly sharing his intense struggles and life philosophy.
On the 4th, Jo In-sung appeared on the YouTube channel 'Ha Ji-young' and shared honest stories as a human being, along with news about his new work. He stated, "Artistic activities have been survival for me", as he has felt a sense of crisis that his very life could disappear based on the evaluations of past works, revealing the desperation he has faced at every moment as a veteran actor.
He also revealed a unique philosophy about human relationships. Jo In-sung cited 'appropriate distance' as the most important value in his relationships with juniors, seniors, and staff. He showed an attitude of respecting the atmosphere on set by saying, "Approaching someone before they ask for help can be seen as rude." This reflects a deep consideration shaped by the trauma and experiences of having to endure alone in unfamiliar environments during his early debut.
He continued with a humorous take on his appearance and daily life. Jo In-sung expressed confidence by saying he has never used insoles, and he made everyone laugh with his honest response about having smiled happily while looking in the mirror. However, he also revealed that he has changed the channel when scenes featuring himself aired, conveying the fate of an actor who still feels nervous about being put to the test with his own acting.
Jo In-sung chose the word 'ordinariness' to define his current self. He explained, "Being ordinary is a remarkable result of countless experiences and wisdom." He then gave a surprising answer to what he would like to say to himself in 2026: "I have nothing to say," conveying a simple determination to live each day faithfully rather than focusing on distant future goals.
Jo In-sung's comeback work 'Humint', which honestly reveals the human struggles and responsibilities hidden behind the glamorous life of a star, is set to meet audiences in February.
