Actors Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung have hinted at a life-and-death duel set against the backdrop of the chaotic 1970s in the Disney+ original series 'Made in Korea'.
The production team of Disney+'s original series 'Made in Korea' (directed by Woo Min-ho) heightened expectations on the 4th by releasing a poster titled 'In the Name of the Father', featuring the tense confrontation between Baek Gi-tae (played by Hyun Bin) and Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung).
'Made in Korea' is set in South Korea during the 1970s, a time of chaos and leap, depicting the story of Baek Gi-tae, a chief of the Central Intelligence Agency who seeks to rise to the pinnacle of wealth and power by turning the nation into a profit model, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who relentlessly pursues him as they face monumental events that transcend the era.
The released poster showcases a close-up of Hyun Bin's face, revealing a strong presence. His eyes, filled with desire, and the stark contrasts on his face hint at the cold and dark side of Baek Gi-tae, who uses the nation as a business tool and does not shy away from dangerous deals.
Following this, Jung Woo-sung's piercing gaze, as if seeing through the viewer, captures the relentless spirit of prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who is known for his tenacity.
Additionally, the phrase "Everyone has staked their fate" foreshadows the inevitable confrontation between the two characters, who become aware of each other's existence, as well as the deadly relationships entangled in desire, drawing attention to the choices and conflicts they will face.
With a dense narrative where desire and madness collide, 'Made in Korea' is set to conclude in 2025 with a total of 6 episodes, which will be released sequentially on Disney+ on the 24th (2 episodes), 31st (2 episodes), January 7th (1 episode), and 14th (1 episode).
