Popular idol group ENHYPEN announced its first comeback as a six-member act and shared its renewed determination. The group met with reporters on the 20th at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for a media briefing marking the release of its eighth mini album, 'The Sin: BLISS.'
The briefing was ENHYPEN's first official media event since news broke that member Heeseung had left the group, drawing widespread attention. Heeseung departed the team in March and announced a fresh start as solo artist Evan. With his solo album set for release on Sept. 7, the two acts are expected to engage in friendly competition.
Asked about the changes to the group, leader Jungwon said the members had devoted considerable effort to the album as their first release since announcing the six-member lineup. Jungwon recalled that, during the recording and concept-development process, the members focused entirely on creating the highest-quality work rather than becoming consumed by the change in their numbers.
ENHYPEN's eighth mini album, 'The Sin: BLISS,' arrives on the 21st as group targets global fans
ENHYPEN stressed that the group has continued to put the stage first and that preserving the quality of its performances under any circumstances is central to its identity. The members said their tighter bond, forged through adversity, became the driving force behind the album's quality.
After undergoing the major change of reorganizing its lineup, ENHYPEN will officially release its eighth mini album, 'The Sin: BLISS,' on the 21st. The industry will be watching to see what the six-member ENHYPEN achieves, and how strongly it asserts its presence, in its faceoff with the former member who has embarked on a solo career.
