Netflix's popular reality show 'Solo Hell 5' has revealed that Choi Mina-su and Lee Seong-hoon, who became a final couple and drew attention, did not develop into an actual romantic relationship. Following the end of the show, the 'failed reality couple' rumors that heated up online communities have been confirmed, drawing the attention of fans.
According to Star News on the 13th, the two, who chose each other and escaped hell in the final episode of 'Solo Hell 5' that aired on the 10th, did not continue as a romantic relationship after filming ended. Currently, they have decided to remain close friends who support each other's lives rather than as lovers.
During the broadcast, Lee Seong-hoon showed his unwavering affection for Choi Mina-su by saying, "I will go anywhere, whether it's Korea or the United States," and Choi Mina-su responded positively, receiving great support from viewers. However, shortly after the broadcast, photos of Lee Seong-hoon at an amusement park with another woman surfaced, amplifying doubts about their relationship.
As a result of the investigation, it has been confirmed that the two are not actual lovers but are still maintaining a friendly relationship by keeping in touch. In this regard, 'Solo Hell 5' producer Kim Jae-won shared the realistic difficulties of public relationships among participants in an interview.
Producer Kim stated, "There are quite a few reality couples this season, but there are concerns about privacy exposure that make them hesitant about public relationships," expressing disappointment from the production team's perspective. He further explained, "To address viewers' curiosity, we specially planned a 'Solo Hell Reunion' episode."
Meanwhile, the specific relationship status of Choi Mina-su, Lee Seong-hoon, and other participants, along with behind-the-scenes stories outside of hell, will be detailed in the spin-off reality show 'Solo Hell Reunion', which will be released on Netflix on the 14th.
