On the 28th, Jin Tae-hyun, who appeared on tvN STORY's 'What’s the Point of Leaving', shared behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of 'Divorce Reflection Camp', which he currently hosts. He mentioned, "I am shocked by the stories of every couple in each session," referring to the program's shocking content. He particularly expressed the difficulty of having to act out the role of a husband who verbally abuses his wife during the psychodrama therapy process, confessing that it was "very mentally challenging."
Jin Tae-hyun expressed deep regret over the situation where the fallout from marital conflicts affects children. He stated, "Watching children get hurt due to their parents' issues is the hardest part of filming," emphasizing that marital disputes are not just a problem between two people.
He recalled a memorable episode involving a husband who constantly nagged his wife. During a psychodrama involving a portrait, he remembered the moment when the wife said, "The husband seems powerless," and shared that he sincerely advised the husband at that time to "treat his wife not just as a spouse but like a flower."
Regarding the reasons many couples face divorce, he pointed out 'self-centered thinking'. Jin Tae-hyun analyzed, "In married life, the other person should come first, but when only my feelings are prioritized, communication breaks down, misunderstandings accumulate, and eventually, they end up at the camp."
Finally, when asked if he would recommend marriage, Jin Tae-hyun gave a firm answer. He stated, "If emotional and financial independence is not fully established, I do not recommend marriage." His advice that one should not build another personal wall within the boundaries of a family left a profound impact on many who are about to get married.
