The emotion of 'Black and White Chef 2' leads to the essence of temple cuisine.
Seonjae Monk, who rose to the top 7 with a dignified culinary philosophy in the Netflix variety show 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War' Season 2, returns with the Wavve original variety show 'The Chefs of the Offering Room'. This program is expected to convey the true value of temple cuisine beyond sensational survival.
'The Chefs of the Offering Room', which will be exclusively released on February 13, is a food reality show where six masters of temple cuisine gather to reflect on the philosophy and meaning of the food. In particular, the meeting of Jeonggwan Monk, who gained global fame through Netflix's 'Chef's Table', and Seonjae Monk has attracted the attention of food enthusiasts.
The lineup is truly the 'Avengers of Temple Cuisine'. Led by Seonjae and Jeonggwan Monks, renowned masters such as Gyeoho, Jeokmun, Daean, and Uguan Monks have gathered in one place. They plan to shed new light on the aesthetics of temple cuisine, which respects nature and life, in line with the global wellness trend of veganism.
The main program, consisting of four episodes, depicts the masters gathering for the first time to share their philosophies. In particular, it features a feast of diverse dishes themed around traditional Korean 'jang' such as gochujang, soy sauce, and doenjang, as well as touching moments of serving guests with heartfelt offerings at the temple.
'The Chefs of the Offering Room', capturing the scenery where practice and cooking intersect, is expected to become a healing content that heals the heart beyond a simple cooking program. This project, where the culinary skills of masters leading the global vegetarian culture come together, will be fully released on February 13, Friday on Wavve.
