After BTS RM, the leader of the group BTS, successfully finished a large-scale comeback performance with the full lineup at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, he bowed his head to citizens nearby and expressed his gratitude.

On the 21st at 8:00 p.m., BTS held “BTS Comeback Live: Arirang” at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square to commemorate the release of their 5th full-length album. After a long wait of four years, this stage brought all seven members together for the first time, unveiling their new song first at a symbolic space representing Korea and drawing intense attention from around the world.

“Deep thanks to the citizens who endured transportation control and noise”

Right after the concert, RM shared his feelings about the comeback in a long post on the fan communication platform Weverse. In particular, he emphasized first his apology and message of gratitude to the citizens who gladly took on inconveniences caused by the large-scale event.

RM said, “I’m truly sorry and also very thankful to all of you citizens who endured inconveniences great and small, including transportation control and noise, and to all the merchants and office workers around Gwanghwamun. I will not take your warm consideration for granted, and I will remember it deeply in my heart,” he added.

He also expressed deep gratitude for the hard work of police, firefighters, and government and local government officials who controlled and monitored the site so that the performance could proceed without a single safety incident, even amid a massive crowd.

“ARMY showed mature order—our biggest pride”

He also did not forget his special affection for the fan club “ARMY.” RM said, “The moment I heard the roar filling the square, I felt overwhelmed with emotion—like we had finally returned. Even among a huge number of people, I was even more deeply moved by how you treated one another with consideration and enjoyed the show in a mature and orderly way.”

Then he stressed that this stage was not only for the members, but was a collaboration completed by the efforts of those who were responsible for safety, the citizens’ understanding, and the fans’ love—adding his pledge that he will repay everyone with a stronger resonance and great music in the journey ahead.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Gwanghwamun performance.

Hello, this is BTS.

After a long wait of four years, our seven members came together again and met you in the meaningful place known as Gwanghwamun. We would like to send our thanks to everyone who offered unwavering consideration and support so that our comeback stage could be completed safely.

First, please know how grateful we are to the police, firefighters, and officials from the central government and local governments who devoted their efforts to make Gwanghwamun Square our comeback stage and to ensure that, even amid countless people, the concert could proceed safely without major incidents.

We also sincerely apologize and express our thanks to all the citizens who endured inconveniences great and small, such as transportation control and noise, as well as to the merchants and office workers around Gwanghwamun. We will never take your warm consideration for granted, and we will keep it in our hearts for a long time.

And above all, to our beloved ARMY, which is everything to us and our pride!

Thank you so much for trusting us and waiting for us all this time. The moment we heard your cheers filling the square, we felt overwhelmed, thinking, “Ah, we’ve finally returned.” We were even more deeply moved by how you, even within such a large crowd, treated one another with consideration and enjoyed the performance in a mature and orderly way. As always, you are our biggest pride. We also send our sincere love and gratitude to ARMY around the world who share the same feelings beyond the screen.

This Gwanghwamun stage was not only ours, the seven members of BTS. It was a stage completed by the hard work of those who were responsible for safety, the warm understanding of the citizens, and ARMY’s unwavering love.

We won’t forget the great love and support you’ve given us, and we will create even greater resonance and great music in the journey of BTS ahead. We hope that the hot memories of today will remain as a pleasant gift in your everyday life for a long time.

We were truly, incredibly happy. Thank you.
