Broadcaster Ahn Jung-hwan recently clarified the controversy surrounding his pizza shop startup, stating it is a "public interest project for donating profits." As concerns from fans grew, the production team took to urgent announcements to address the situation.
The production team of the YouTube channel 'Ahn Jung-hwan 19' stated in a recent video comment, "Contrary to the worries of many, this project is a startup content aimed at supporting those in need with a portion of the profits." It has been confirmed that this is not merely an expansion of a personal business, but a plan to collaborate with the franchise 'Record Pizza' to donate operational profits.
In a previously released video, Ahn Jung-hwan analyzed the commercial districts of Yongsan and Yeouido while preparing to open the pizza shop. However, when the high costs of 200 million won for rights and 15 million won for monthly rent were revealed, fans expressed concerns, saying, "Isn't this an excessive business expansion?" and "I hope he focuses solely on broadcasting."
In response, the production team added, "As this is a brand that collaborates with what we do, we hope you view it positively," and stated, "We will return soon with news of donations." It remains to be seen whether Ahn Jung-hwan's new challenge, which began with the goal of making a positive impact, can clear up misunderstandings and gain support from fans.
