Actress Kim Gyu-ri has directly refuted the rumors surrounding the 'suspension' of the restaurant operated by DJ DOC's Lee Ha-neul and Jung Jae-yong, indicating strong legal action. She has drawn the line against fake news that threatens livelihoods, going beyond a simple incident.
On the 24th, Kim Gyu-ri stated through her social media, "I was surprised to see the article about the restaurant and directly confirmed with my brother Lee Ha-neul," adding, "Upon confirmation, the restaurant is currently operating smoothly without any issues." She further expressed her frustration, saying, "This is a malicious situation trying to turn a perfectly fine restaurant into a problematic one."
The incident originated from a YouTube video of Kim Gyu-ri. Recently, as a video surfaced showing her dancing during a fan meeting at the restaurant, some netizens raised suspicions of violations of the Food Sanitation Act and filed complaints. Subsequently, unverified rumors spread rapidly online claiming that the restaurant had received a 'two-month suspension' order.
In response, the restaurant immediately issued an official statement, dismissing the suspension rumors circulating among some YouTubers and communities as "clearly false information." The restaurant emphasized, "Since opening, we have never received any administrative sanctions, and we are currently operating normally."
Both Kim Gyu-ri and the restaurant are determined not to overlook this situation. Kim Gyu-ri warned that she plans to file a complaint against the comment manipulation group that goes beyond obstructing business to personal attacks, stating she will hand over all evidence of malicious comments. The restaurant also stated, "Fake news is threatening the livelihoods of our employees," and has appointed a lawyer to take civil and criminal action, planning to respond with a zero-tolerance policy.
