As allegations of 'abuse', 'illegal medical practices', and 'embezzlement' surrounding comedian Park Na-rae are growing, it has been confirmed that Park Na-rae's mother, the representative of her agency Anpark, deposited a total of 20 million won to two former managers claiming to be victims without prior consultation. The former managers immediately returned the money and protested.
On the evening of the 4th, about 7 hours after reports emerged that the former managers had filed for real estate provisional seizure citing abuse and injury claims, Park Na-rae's mother deposited 10 million won each into the accounts of the two managers.
The former managers stated on the 6th, "At around 10 PM on the 4th, after 9:30 PM, 10 million won was deposited to each of them. It was sent by Park Na-rae's mother, and there was no prior consultation," adding, "We returned it immediately, and our attorney sent a text saying 'do not act like this.'"
Park Na-rae's side also acknowledged this fact. On the same day, a representative from Park Na-rae's agency stated, "From her mother's perspective, it seems she did this because she saw (her daughter) Park Na-rae struggling. She deposited the money without consulting us, and we only found out after receiving a text from the former managers' attorney."
At that time, Park Na-rae's side was negotiating a settlement with the former managers. It appears that Park Na-rae's mother, believing that the dispute between the two sides stemmed from financial issues, deposited the money without consulting Park Na-rae to resolve the situation. However, since Park Na-rae's mother is the actual representative of Anpark, this unilateral financial payment could potentially work against Park Na-rae in future legal proceedings.
Ultimately, the settlement between the two sides fell through. The former managers stated, "On the 5th, we received a settlement document through Park Na-rae's attorney, but it contained many unacceptable terms." Immediately after, Park Na-rae's side also announced through an official press release, "In a situation where unnecessary misunderstandings and pressures continue due to claims that are not true, we have determined that we can no longer be swayed by unilateral demands," and announced plans to take necessary legal action after legal review.
Currently, the former managers have filed a lawsuit against Park Na-rae for special injury and other charges, and have also reported her for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), claiming that she used company funds for personal purposes. In response, Park Na-rae filed a complaint against them for extortion, stating that the former managers demanded a large sum of money based on false claims at the Seoul Yongsan Police Station.
Meanwhile, if a complaint regarding Park Na-rae's illegal medical allegations is received through the National Petition Center, an investigation into the matter is expected to proceed.
Lee Se-jung, an attorney from the law firm Kwangjang representing Park Na-rae, stated, "There is absolutely no legal issue with Park Na-rae's medical practices," explaining, "Due to her busy filming schedule, it was difficult for her to visit the hospital, so she requested a home visit from the doctor and nurse of her usual hospital to receive an IV, which is a legal medical service widely used by regular patients."
