Singer Kim Gun-mo is drawing public attention as he reveals his recent status through composer Joo Young-hoon ahead of his full-fledged return to activities after 6 years.
On the 29th, Joo Young-hoon posted a photo on his social media service (SNS) with the caption, "My beloved Gun-mo hyung, let’s go to the concert in Seoul on March 21," along with a picture. The photo shows Kim Gun-mo standing side by side with the couple Joo Young-hoon and Lee Yoon-mi.
In the photo, Kim Gun-mo is gazing at the camera with a somewhat stiff expression. Notably, his face appears significantly haggard compared to before, capturing the attention of netizens. Although he is dressed casually, many felt the emotional turmoil he experienced during his long hiatus was palpable. Netizens commented, "It seems like his face has aged a lot, which is unfortunate," and "I want to see his bright self on stage again," sending their support.
Kim Gun-mo had completely halted his activities in 2019 due to personal controversies. However, in 2021, he was not indicted by the prosecution regarding sexual assault allegations, and subsequent appeals and requests for retrial from the opposing side were all dismissed, allowing him to legally clear himself of the charges. Nevertheless, he experienced personal pain, including a divorce just two years after marriage during the legal battles.
Breaking his long silence, Kim Gun-mo is officially returning to the music scene through the '25-26 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour KIM GUN MO'. This tour marks his first direct meeting with fans in 6 years, starting with a concert in Seoul on March 21 and will showcase his strength as a national singer once again across various stages nationwide.
As Kim Gun-mo picks up the microphone again, leaving behind past pains, attention is focused on what kind of stage and sincerity he will show through this concert.
