"I was really lucky with the casting. Later, I found out it was a reunion after 14 years, and the third time working as a couple."
KBS 2TV's new weekend drama 'Love Prescription' is drawing attention even before its broadcast by revealing the special connections and strong teamwork of the actors. This work depicts the process of two families, entangled in a bad relationship for 30 years, becoming one family, raising expectations with the unique 'chemistry' of the actual actors.
The production presentation held on the 28th at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Seoul, was attended by director Han Jun-seo and main cast members Jin Se-yeon, Park Gi-woong, Yoo Ho-jung, Kim Seung-soo, So Yi-hyun, and Kim Hyung-mook, who expressed their confidence in the work.
The most eye-catching aspect was the meeting of Jin Se-yeon and Park Gi-woong. The two reunited after 14 years since the drama 'Gaksital' in 2012. Jin Se-yeon expressed deep trust in Park Gi-woong, saying, "He has always been a wonderful senior to me."
In response, Park Gi-woong shared his thoughts, saying, "Se-yeon, who was a minor 14 years ago, has now become a colleague with whom I can comfortably joke around on set." In the drama, the two will play Yang Hyun-bin, a director of Taehan Group, and designer Gong Joo-ah, respectively, leading the romance.
The reunion of Yoo Ho-jung and Kim Seung-soo, who return to the small screen after 11 years, is also a point of interest. Yoo Ho-jung, who has been acting for 35 years, stated, "This is the third time acting as a couple with Kim Seung-soo. He is the only actor in my acting life," and confidently added, "From the beginning, the term 'honey' comes out so naturally, indicating perfect chemistry."
Kim Seung-soo also hinted at their chemistry, saying, "I have a close relationship with Yoo Ho-jung's real husband, Lee Jae-ryong, to the point of joking around with him," suggesting a chemistry comparable to that of a real couple.
The couple responsible for the laughter on set was So Yi-hyun and Kim Hyung-mook. So Yi-hyun revealed that she unconsciously started calling Kim Hyung-mook "oppa," making the scene burst into laughter. The two are expected to bring a lively energy with their unique nicknames 'honey' and 'sister.'
Director Han Jun-seo, who is in charge of the production, expressed strong confidence in the actors' abilities, stating, "If viewers can laugh once and feel touched once while watching an episode, that would be enough." 'Love Prescription,' which will provide warm comfort to families on weekend evenings, will premiere on the 31st at 8 PM.
