"Is it a problem that I look too good?"… Actress Lee Ju-bin revealed shocking victimization related to her 'legendary ID photo.'
Recently appearing on the YouTube channel 'Life84', Lee Ju-bin enjoyed a date with Kian84 at Seoul Land and shared the behind-the-scenes story of her well-known ID photo. The photo, taken in 2017, became a hot topic online due to her perfect features.
However, her fame turned out to be a curse. Lee Ju-bin confessed, "I thought it would be nice that the photo turned out well, but it actually led to identity theft." According to her explanation, the photo was used without permission for various sales job profiles, including insurance consultants and used car dealers, and eventually was misused in investment fraud and identity forgery crimes.
Lee Ju-bin revealed, "There was a scam that used my face to solicit investments, and I even received court contact due to a fake ID being made," shocking everyone. It was reported that the damage was so severe that her agency received numerous inquiries about the authenticity.
In response, Kian84 joked, "Your face gives a lot of trust. It seems like someone would buy anything if you were selling it, so there was a lot of theft."
Meanwhile, on that day’s broadcast, Lee Ju-bin’s surprising past was also revealed. A former member of the girl group 'Rainbow', she explained, "I liked finishing classes early in high school and going to the practice room, so I started my trainee life," detailing her journey to becoming an actress after 10 years of training.
She also revealed her strong survival skills. Lee Ju-bin stated, "I became independent at 21 and supported myself by working as a fitting model," and shared, "I shot twice a week and earned about 4.5 million won a month, covering all my tuition, rent, and living expenses," which surprised everyone.
