
Global pop star and BLACKPINK member Lisa has released “Sawdika,” the lead single from her upcoming mini-album.
Released simultaneously worldwide at 9 a.m. on the 4th, Lisa’s new single “Sawdika” is a pre-release track from her mini-album “Press Play,” due out Oct. 23.
The song’s title, “Sawdika,” was inspired by a friendly greeting in Thai. Its trendy hip-hop beat and Lisa’s powerful rap lines showcase her distinctive presence as an artist.
The music video, directed by leading K-pop director Bang Jae-yeop, highlights Lisa’s diverse performances against the backdrop of Bangkok landmarks and has sparked an enthusiastic response.

With the release of her pre-release single fueling excitement, Lisa will continue making major moves across multiple fields throughout the fall.
The documentary “Always Larissa,” directed by Su Kim, will have its first screening at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival before its official release Oct. 12. The film is expected to offer an intimate look at Lisa’s coming-of-age years and candid story.
Lisa will follow that with four performances of her solo residency concert “Viva La Lisa” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Nov. 13-14 and 27-28. Every ticket sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale, marking a new chapter for K-pop residency concerts.
Beginning with “Sawdika” and continuing with the mini-album release, the film’s debut and her Las Vegas performances, Lisa’s high-profile solo activities are drawing attention worldwide.
