
Global pop star Lisa of Blackpink has unveiled ‘Sawasdee Ka,’ the new song that will open the group member’s upcoming mini album.
Released simultaneously worldwide at 9 a.m. on the 4th, Lisa’s new song ‘Sawasdee Ka’ is the pre-release track from her mini album ‘Press Play,’ which is set for release on October 23.
The song’s title was inspired by the friendly Thai greeting “sawasdee ka.” Trendy hip-hop beats blend with Lisa’s powerful rap lines, showcasing the artist’s distinctive presence to the fullest.
The music video, directed by leading K-pop filmmaker Bang Jae-yeop, features landmarks across Bangkok, Thailand, as the backdrop for Lisa’s diverse performances and is drawing an explosive response.

After stoking excitement with the release of the pre-release track, Lisa will continue her major activities across various fields throughout the fall.
The documentary ‘Always Larissa,’ directed by Su Kim, will have its first screening at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival before its official release on October 12. The film is expected to offer audiences an intimate look at Lisa’s formative years and candid personal story.
Lisa will then hold four solo residency concerts, ‘Viva La Lisa,’ at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, United States, on November 13–14 and 27–28. All tickets sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale, marking a new chapter in the history of K-pop residency concerts.
