On the 15th, agency BigHit Music officially announced the details of Gunho’s injury and its plans for future activities through the official fan community platform Weverse.
According to the agency, Gunho recently fell while moving and suffered an accident that caused his hands to land incorrectly. After a precise medical examination at the hospital, he was diagnosed with fractures in the areas around his pinky fingers on both hands. He is currently taking stable rest after emergency measures, but medical staff said that, for a speedy recovery, he needs to wear a cast and a brace for the time being and minimize the movement of his arms.

While concerns have been raised that an abrupt injury could disrupt the scheduled large-scale concert run, reports say Gunho himself showed a strong will to carry out the solo tour normally. The agency plans to put the artist’s recovery first, while operating the schedule flexibly based on medical staff’s assessment.
Accordingly, Gunho will step onto the stage as scheduled at his solo concerts, held on the 18th and 19th, titled “2026 Cortis Tour Put Your Phone Down in Incheon.” However, to prevent his injury from worsening, he will participate safely in the shows with a singing-focused performance and without intense choreography. For outdoor festivals and other broadcast schedules planned for the future, the agency also plans to coordinate after discussions with medical staff so nothing stretches beyond what is appropriate.
