A story has emerged that has shocked many, revealing that a woman in her 40s learned through a broadcast, one year after her divorce, that her ex-husband had already committed infidelity during their marriage.
On the 16th, JTBC's Incident Report covered the story of informant A, who divorced her husband a year ago. According to the report, A's husband, B, who used to work at a travel agency, began helping at the bakery run by A after losing his job due to the COVID-19 pandemic. B learned the art of baking directly from his wife and even obtained a baking certification.
However, as the business faced financial difficulties, their marital relationship deteriorated. Eventually, B left home four years ago, claiming he would work in a factory. A, who was raising their children alone, discovered that B had secretly taken out a mortgage loan, and they ended up agreeing to a divorce while A took on the remaining apartment loan of 300 million won and custody of the children.
The full story came to light recently, a year after the divorce, when A happened to watch a TV program. She saw her ex-husband B introduced as the owner of a popular bakery on a famous show. In the broadcast, B introduced another woman as his wife and stated that it had been three years since he opened the bakery.
Notably, B mentioned in an interview that he learned advanced techniques from his sister-in-law, a pastry chef, and opened the bakery with his wife three years ago. The sister-in-law mentioned by B was actually A's younger sister, and the techniques were taught to him by A. The woman who appeared with him also added that she had been giving massages to B every night for the past four years, admitting that the two had been living together for a long time.
Feeling a deep sense of betrayal, A contacted her ex-husband to confront him, but B claimed that it was only written in the broadcast script and that the woman next to him was just a business associate. However, the broadcasting station confirmed that no such script existed and that the participants answered on their own.
Legal expert Yang Ji-yeol analyzed that even if a divorce has already occurred, if one learns of infidelity that took place during the marriage, it is possible to file a claim for damages. He explained that a lawsuit can be filed against the ex-husband and the third party within a certain period from the date of discovering the infidelity.
Currently, A is reportedly considering legal action against her ex-husband's deceitful actions.
