
Broadcaster Kim Gura's son Gree has made headlines by revealing that he earned a profit of 500 million won from real estate investment while serving in the military. He expressed gratitude for his father's advice, which enabled him to achieve successful financial management.
On the 14th, a video titled 'Victory! Gree Greets You After a Long Time' was posted on the YouTube channel 'GreeGura'. In the video, Kim Gura shared behind-the-scenes stories from the time of purchasing real estate with his son Gree.
Gree initially intended to secure a residence in Wangsimni, Seoul, but revealed that he ended up purchasing an apartment located in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, due to Kim Gura's strong recommendation. He explained, "At that time, I didn't know much about real estate and just followed my father's words," adding, "As a result, the house price increased significantly, making it a successful investment."
Previously, Kim Gura stated on a broadcast, "Gree bought a 32-pyeong apartment in Guri for 500 million won, and the current market price is 1 billion won." This apartment, purchased with a jeonse of 250 million won, recorded a twofold profit in a short period due to redevelopment prospects and other factors.
While serving in the military, Gree also shared episodes from his unit. He said, "There are about 100 officers in the unit, and the officers in their early 30s bombarded me with questions like, 'How did you know to buy it?'" He added, "When senior officers treated me to meals, I even heard jokes like, 'The house price skyrocketed, and you're getting a free meal?'" which brought laughter.
