Singer Don revealed the reasons behind his transformation from a bold and glamorous style to a 'minimalist'.
On the 10th, a video titled 'Don Met Gong Hyo-jin' was posted on the YouTube channel 'For the Time Being, Gong Hyo-jin'. In the video, Don had an honest conversation with actress Gong Hyo-jin about his changed fashion philosophy and inner growth.
On that day, Don confessed that he has completely let go of his obsession with fashion compared to the past. He recalled, "When I was deeply into fashion, I only sought out unique and glamorous clothes that others could never wear." However, at some point, "I felt a discrepancy where my inner self was not like that, but I was pretending to be that way on the outside," mentioning the emptiness hidden behind the glamour.
Having taken time to reflect on his inner self, Don explained that he naturally began to reduce his clothing shopping. This is a 180-degree change from his past bold actions of wearing skirts or making thigh-high boots himself.
In particular, Don revealed, "These days, I wear the same one or two outfits for two years. It's much more comfortable," which surprised many. He stated that the energy he used to pour into fashion is now fully dedicated to his home and personal hobbies, time for himself.
