"YouTube is on hold, it's time to focus on my main job."
After welcoming his second daughter earlier this year and dedicating himself to parenting, actor Jo Jung-seok is finally returning to his main job as an actor.
According to industry sources on the 5th, Jo Jung-seok has been offered the title role in the new drama series 'Paper Man', directed by Lee Il-hyung. In response, his agency, Jam Entertainment, stated, "We have received an offer to appear in the project and are currently reviewing it positively."
'Paper Man' tells the tumultuous story of a man with color blindness who gets entangled in counterfeit money. Director Lee Il-hyung, who has been recognized for his solid directing skills through the film 'The Attorney', which attracted 9.7 million viewers, and the Netflix series 'The Uncanny Counter', is already drawing attention for his collaboration with Jo Jung-seok, a 'box office guarantee'.
Jo Jung-seok has been active as a unique box office cheat key, moving between television and film. His works, including the movies 'Pilot', 'Exit', and 'Zombie Daughter', as well as the drama series 'Hospital Playlist' and 'Jealousy Incarnate', have all proven his status as a 'trustworthy actor' by achieving box office success. Notably, he showcased his enduring popularity by being selected as the 'Actor of the Year' by the public at the '2025 KCA Cultural and Entertainment Awards' last year.
This return is particularly exciting for fans as it marks a long-awaited drama series following 'The Three Works, The Enchanted Ones', which aired in 2024. With his acting skills, as well as his talents in singing and dancing, the versatile entertainer Jo Jung-seok is expected to showcase new charms through 'Paper Man'.
