Disney+ original series “The Killer’s Shopping Mall” returns for its second season with an expanded universe and even stronger action, amid high expectations from viewers around the world.

“The Killer’s Shopping Mall” season 2, ahead of its first release on the 22nd, is an action thriller in which Jian (played by Kim Hye-jun), reborn as the mall’s new representative, and his uncle Jinman (played by Lee Dong-wook), who has returned from the dead, launch a full-scale counterattack against Babylon, a massive force of evil.
At the production presentation held on the 20th at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, key cast members including director Lee Kwon and actors Lee Dong-wook, Kim Hye-jun, Jo Han-seon, and Geum Hae-na attended and expressed confidence in the project. Director Lee Kwon said the season will be the process of unraveling the questions left in season 1, adding that the story will unfold as an original narrative that goes beyond the framework of the source material, tackling Babylon’s identity and the vast world it encompasses.
Action that evolves from firearms to wires… Pay attention to Jian’s independent growth
Season 2 promises an even more varied and intense action spectrum. Kim Hye-jun will break away from being a passive survivor and takes up a gun directly to protect the people he holds dear. Geum Hae-na, who plays Min-hye, is also expected to maximize visual satisfaction by adding fresh elements such as a new motorcycle-riding sequence and wire action.
Lee Dong-wook, who delivered a shock with his dramatic return as Jinman, asked viewers to focus on the emotional lines hidden behind the flashy action. He said the process in which adult Jian and Jinman confront and interact due to differences in values will be depicted in depth, and he pointed to action that reveals each character’s individuality as a differentiator. Director Lee Kwon emphasized that at the center of the many spectacle-filled moments is Jian’s story of growing into a true adult by overcoming countless trials.
With global fans’ attention locked on “The Killer’s Shopping Mall” season 2, it will be released simultaneously worldwide through Disney+ on the 22nd.
