[Mediment News Kim Soo-hyun Reporter] JTBC's new Friday series Love Me unveils its story by confronting the intense loss of a family member from the very first broadcast.

Set to premiere on the 19th at 8:50 PM, Love Me is a drama that depicts the growth of a somewhat selfish and ordinary family that has lived cherishing only themselves as they each begin new loves. Starring Seo Hyun-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Si-woo, along with Yoon Se-ah, Jang Ryul, and TWICE's Dahyun, it is generating anticipation with its intergenerational love stories.

The photos released by the production team before the broadcast capture the funeral mass scene of the protagonist Seo Jun-kyung's mother, Kim Mi-ran, adding to the tension. Seven years ago, her husband Seo Jin-ho, who has been supporting the family while caring for Mi-ran after her sudden accident, and their eldest daughter Jun-kyung, along with the wandering youngest son Jun-seo, are bound together under the name of family but have endured their individual pains without reaching each other.

The revealed scene of the funeral mass in the church symbolizes the irreversible moment of loss faced by this family. The sight of the three sitting side by side in sorrow shows that they cannot return to their previously ordinary times, while also raising questions about what changes this death will bring to the lives and relationships of those left behind.

The production team emphasized that this funeral mass scene is a crucial starting point that opens the entire story of the drama. The background of accumulated loneliness among family members, the rapid changes that will come after the loss, and the choices of the characters standing before new love will unfold at a brisk pace over the first two episodes.

Love Me is based on the original series of the same name created by Josephine Bornebusch from Sweden, which has already been recognized for its artistic value after being remade in Australia. The unique emotional direction of director Jo Young-min and Seo Hyun-jin's profound acting are drawing viewers' attention to the birth of a new melodramatic aesthetic.

The special growth journey of this family, which will begin at the end of loss, can be confirmed on JTBC on the night of the 19th.
