[Rapper Jaykyung has revealed that she suffered dating violence from her ex-boyfriend and producer Bangdal, while her agency AOMG officially acknowledged the incident and has begun legal action.
AOMG stated on the 15th, "Jaykyung shared the fact that she suffered dating violence during their relationship with the company," and added, "This matter will be handled according to legal procedures."
The agency further stated, "We are providing all necessary support, including legal advice, with the utmost consideration for the artist's physical and mental safety and recovery," and urged restraint against secondary harm and the spread of speculative information.
Previously, on the 12th, Jaykyung posted a photo of her bruised body on her social media, along with a message saying, "I couldn't go outside for two weeks," hinting at the abuse. She explained, "Earlier, I knocked on the door for an hour and pressed the password. On the day I was hit, I was also prevented from leaving my own home. I had no choice but to use this method (posting on social media) to completely break up." The person identified as the perpetrator is producer Bangdal.
In response, Bangdal stated, "If you don't know anything properly, please shut up. I was the one who got hit and cursed at, and now you're using a photo of me getting hurt while trying to stop the chaos to make me look bad," strongly denying the allegations.
Then, on the 14th, Jaykyung provided additional details about the situation. She claimed, "I admit that I slapped him because I was hit so much, but 99% of the hitting and cursing was done to me," and added, "He kept pushing me down when I tried to leave, and when he tried to pull out a weapon, I attempted to call the police, but he took my phone. He also choked me," shocking many. (Currently, those posts have been deleted.)
Meanwhile, Jaykyung debuted in 2016 and joined AOMG in 2022, while Bangdal has been involved in producing all the tracks for Jaykyung's regular album 'Downfall' released last July.
