However, his departure has revealed a complex atmosphere within the public service, marked by both disappointment and criticism.

On the 13th, a blunt criticism post directed at Kim was published on the anonymous workplace community "Blind," causing a stir. The author, presumed to be a current public servant, claimed that Kim's actions disrupted the order of the typical public servant organization.
The author expressed feelings of relative deprivation, stating, "He obtained a Level 6 team leader position that others must work 20 years to achieve far too easily." They also pointed out that Kim enjoyed exceptional benefits from the unique nature of his YouTube promotion work, which exempted him from the mandatory rotation that regular public servants undergo, suggesting that significant dissatisfaction had accumulated internally.
The author further noted, "Kim himself has acknowledged that many people dislike him," and displayed a cynical reaction, suggesting that his resignation would restore peace to the public service.
According to Chungju City, Kim submitted his resignation on the 12th and has entered a long vacation. He left a final message on his YouTube channel, stating, "I am concluding 10 years in public service and 7 years as Chungju Man," and added, "The time spent with you was the happiest in my life."
Kim has broken the rigid promotional framework of public offices with his planning skills, raising the subscriber count of the "Chungju City YouTube" channel to the top among local governments, and has received recognition for his contributions through rapid promotions. This resignation is analyzed to be related to the resignation of former Mayor Jo Gil-hyung, who was a strong supporter of Kim. As Jo, who completed three terms, resigned to run for governor of North Chungcheong Province, it is speculated that changes have occurred in Kim's standing as well.
