The Extreme Crew of MBC's entertainment program Extreme 84 has entered Greenland ahead of their final challenge, the Arctic Polar Circle Marathon, signaling the finale of their grand journey.
In the 7th episode of Extreme 84 aired on the 11th, Kian84, Kwon Hwa-woon, and Kangnam were depicted embarking on their serious journey to the Arctic. In particular, the scene where they arrived at Kangarlussuaq, Greenland, and faced the massive Russell Glacier recorded a peak viewership rating of 5.9% in the metropolitan area, capturing the viewers' attention. The household rating was 3.8%, and the key demographic rating for ages 20-54 showed an upward trend at 2.1%.
Starting their journey from Copenhagen, Denmark, the first gateway to the Arctic, the crew created a warm atmosphere by throwing a surprise party for Kian84's birthday. They then had a special experience running through downtown Copenhagen with a massive running crew that has over 20,000 members worldwide. Kian84 enjoyed a delightful time experiencing runner's high during the rainy run.

Unlike a typical marathon festival, the Extreme Crew confirmed the reality of the Arctic course, which features a 10km icy path with challenging ups and downs. As the extreme environment was introduced, which was difficult to walk in without crampons, Kian84 chuckled nervously, and Kangnam, who was participating in his first marathon, could not hide his embarrassment.
After a long journey, they arrived at Kangarlussuaq, Greenland, which offered a unique landscape surrounded by snowy mountains from the airport. The crew was captivated while exploring the mysterious Arctic nature where musk oxen and reindeer roam, but as they approached the glacier, they quickly felt the weight of reality with the intensifying cold and endless uphill climbs.
