Noel (real name Jang Yong-jun), the son of the late former lawmaker Jang Je-won and currently active as a rapper, reflected on his past of wandering despite being in a wealthy environment, expressing his remorse towards his parents and his determination for his future life.

Recently, Noel appeared on a content segment of a YouTube channel, candidly sharing his feelings about the sudden fame he faced in childhood, the anxiety that came with it, and his mindset during his time in jail. He recalled the explosive attention he received while participating in High School Rapper at a time when his identity was not fully formed, expressing the burden of having his past and family background exposed due to the duality of fame.

Describing his life as feeling like riding a bicycle with both hands off the handlebars, Noel suggested that his experience in jail was a significant turning point in his life. He explained the harsh conditions he faced while spending a year in solitary confinement, while also stating that he lives every day in tension, keeping his own boundaries to ensure his life does not go off track again.

He showed a solemn demeanor when expressing his remorse towards his family. Remembering the image of his mother crying during his transfer to jail, Noel reflected on his past of building walls with his family despite receiving much love in a better environment than others. He confessed that he also shed tears right after entering solitary confinement, sincerely conveying his apologies to his parents.

Noel, who gained recognition through a hip-hop audition program in 2017, has faced legal consequences due to a series of controversies including drunk driving, driving without a license, and assaulting a police officer. After serving a one-year prison sentence, he was released in October 2022, expressing his desire to live a responsible life, leaving behind his chaotic childhood.

Noel demonstrated a more mature attitude, stating that he wants to remain true to his essential profession as a musician, conveying meaning through music, while also planning to devote his personal energy to his future family and children.
