Seo In-guk and Park Ji-hyun’s first kiss born out of misunderstanding cleared
“Tomorrow Comes Again!” is drawing explosive attention as it charts the lead characters’ full-scale, two-way romance. In the latest broadcast, Kang Si-woo (played by Seo In-guk) and Cha Ji-yoon (played by Park Ji-hyun) aired scenes in which they cleared up their past misunderstandings and confirmed their true feelings for one another.
Ahead of his trip to the United States, Cha Ji-yoon pleaded at his side while crying, begging him to stay with her. In response, Kang Si-woo answered with a kiss, pushing viewers’ excitement to the highest level. It was not just a shift in emotions, but the moment when trust built up through a tough working life ripened into love.
Surpassing 6% in ratings and dominating buzz… A hit run without a brake
A solid storyline and the two actors’ standout performances quickly translated into a rise in viewership. According to Nielsen Korea, the show’s fifth episode recorded an average 4.846% among nationwide paid households and a peak 6.053% per minute, setting a new personal record for highest viewership.
The buzz indicators are just as overwhelming. In FUNdex’s (Good Data Corporation) survey for the first week of July, “Tomorrow Comes Again!” ranked No. 3 in the drama overall category. In the cast buzz category as well, Seo In-guk and Park Ji-hyun placed at No. 5 and No. 7, respectively, as they moved to solidify their status as the trend-setters.
No. 1 in Amazon Prime’s non-English category… Sweeping 44 countries worldwide
The country’s strong response directly fed into global success. According to FlixPatrol, a site that compiles global OTT rankings, “Tomorrow Comes Again!” reached No. 8 on the Amazon Prime Video worldwide overall chart and landed at No. 1 in the non-English content category.
From topping charts in four Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia and the Philippines, to entering the top 10 in 44 countries worldwide—such as the United States, Japan, and Germany—it proved the staying power of K-office romance. Kim Sun-tae, CP, said he is grateful for viewers’ support and added that he hopes for even greater anticipation for the real-life romance of the two people that will unfold next.
