Shortly after BTS’s V finished the full-group comeback stage that was made possible for the first time in 3 years and 9 months, he shared behind-the-scenes stories about the performance and his special sincerity toward fans during a live broadcast.
On the 21st, V shared his thoughts right after the Gwanghwamun comeback performance via the fan communication platform Weverse. He opened by saying that after confirming that fans safely made their way home, he felt relieved, then added that he had made sure to watch the Gwanghwamun performance video released through Netflix and also read fans’ reviews of the new album.
During the broadcast, V fully revealed the heavy responsibility he felt standing on the full-group stage after a long hiatus. He said that because the time to prepare together as seven members was so long, he ended up taking in several times more practice than usual. In particular, his confession—“I wanted to be evaluated after showing you a perfect performance without trembling”—hinted at how urgently he longed for this comeback stage.
He also revealed behind-the-scenes details tied to the new album Arirang. V explained that the distinctive variations of Arirang, where countless emotions intertwine, achieved perfect harmony with the latter half of the track Body to Body. Although the concept was unfamiliar at first, he expressed strong confidence, saying that in the end a high-quality result was created.
Above all, V made a unique vow for this promotion, saying, “I ground my teeth and came prepared.” It was also reported that his intense training schedule caused his weight to drop rapidly, which made many people feel sorry for him. Still, right after the release, he expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming worldwide praise pouring in and asked fans to look forward to his future activities.
Meanwhile, on the 21st, BTS held a large-scale comeback live performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square. With an overwhelming performance, they captivated fans around the world and announced a successful return.
