On the 29th, the production presentation for tvN's new variety show 'Bo-gum Magical' was held online, attended by Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, Kwak Dong-yeon, and producer Son Soo-jung, who shared behind-the-scenes stories of the program. 'Bo-gum Magical' is a reality variety show that tells the story of Park Bo-gum, who obtained a national hairdresser's license and runs a barbershop in a rural village.
In this program, Park Bo-gum serves as the main hair designer, while Lee Sang-yi takes care of nail care and customer service, and Kwak Dong-yeon is responsible for cooking, acting as a strong support team. They are known to have participated in everything from location selection to space remodeling over a period of about a year, pouring deep affection into the program.
On this day, Kwak Dong-yeon praised Park Bo-gum's hairdressing skills, saying, "He has a tenacity that goes beyond just being good; he never gives up." In particular, he testified to Park Bo-gum's 'all-night passion' by saying, "Not only does Bo-gum hyung practice late into the night, but there are quite a few people among the production team who have had their hair styled by him," bringing laughter to the scene. He also highly appreciated the research and effort Park Bo-gum put in to meet the demands of various age groups and genders.
Lee Sang-yi, who appeared alongside him, also vouched for Park Bo-gum's skills. Lee Sang-yi said, "The PD also got a cut, and I asked for a little favor and received one, and I was very satisfied with the result," expressing his satisfaction with Park Bo-gum's meticulous skills.
In response, Park Bo-gum revealed, "I wanted to go beyond just men's cuts and also style female customers, so I studied for the hairdresser's license and honed my skills." He mentioned that the most challenging part was styling the hair of elderly people with perms, saying, "I was very careful because if I cut it wrong, the people who are smiling might end up crying," raising expectations for the genuine service he will provide.
Meanwhile, the warm and magical barbershop story 'Bo-gum Magical' will premiere on the 30th at 8:40 PM on tvN.
