On the 6th, in a video released on the YouTube channel "Life84," Kian84 visited Kim Minji’s home and talked with her about her life story—from childhood to the present. That day, Kim Minji shared old photos she had carefully kept, looking back at her growth history without holding anything back.
The biggest topic was the physical changes she went through in a short period of time. Kim Minji said that when she was in sixth grade, her height was 156 cm, but around the time she entered middle school, it shot up to her current 173 cm. In just a brief span, she grew by about 17 cm, helping her develop the strong build she has now.
However, her rapid growth also brought unexpected changes. Kim Minji admitted that as her height increased all at once, her eyesight sharply worsened. She said that her vision in both eyes is currently 0.6 and 0.3, respectively, and that because she doesn’t wear contact lenses in her day-to-day life, she has trouble identifying objects or people at a distance.
These physical changes also led to misunderstandings during her career as an athlete. Kim Minji shared a "funny-but-embarrassing" episode in which she once got scolded for failing to recognize a senior standing far away, skipping her greeting—and another time she wasn’t sure whether she had greeted them, so she greeted twice and ended up being reprimanded, turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
