Singer Kangnam and former Speed Skating national team standout Lee Sang-hwa are drawing attention after revealing their 40-year-old home in Tokyo, Japan.
In a video released on the YouTube channel “Life 84” on the 1st, Gian84 was seen visiting Japan and searching for the couple’s home. Located near Haneda Airport, their home impressed viewers by keeping the interior clean and well cared for, despite being 40 years since it was completed.
Kangnam explained Japan’s unique system of maintenance fees and repair costs for apartments, adding that the two spend about one week each month living here. In particular, the dazzling view stretching out from the living room window left everyone in awe. With a view reaching from Tokyo Disneyland to “Daiya and the Flower Ferris Wheel,” and even the Skytree standing 634 meters tall, everything came into view at once. It also proved that this is a one-of-a-kind spot where you can see Mount Fuji on clear days.
During the home interior tour, you could also see the cork flooring and closets that reflect 40 years of history. While looking at the traces left on the walls and doors, Kangnam playfully recalled an episode from his childhood with his mother, bringing smiles to viewers.
Kangnam had long been loved for his down-to-earth, friendly image through past variety shows, but later he gained attention for a twist: it was revealed that his father runs a hotel business in Japan and that he comes from a family with near-chaebol-level wealth. He’s also known for choosing independent activities in South Korea instead of taking over the family business.
