
The global group BTS's hit song 'Permission to Dance' music video has set a remarkable record by surpassing 700 million views on YouTube.
According to their agency Big Hit Music on the 11th, the 'Permission to Dance' music video achieved 700 million views on YouTube around 5:14 PM on the previous day (10th). With this, BTS now holds their 10th music video with 700 million views, once again proving their global influence.
Released in July 2021, 'Permission to Dance' is a dance-pop genre song that conveys the message that 'everyone can dance freely without permission' to those who have had a tiring day. Especially released during the COVID-19 pandemic, it provided warm comfort to people around the world with the message of 'let's find freedom and happiness through dance and song, even in difficult times' and 'life goes on despite everything.'
The music video is filled with the bright and energetic atmosphere of BTS members, and in the latter part, all seven members showcase choreography using international sign language with the crowd, spreading positive energy.
Additionally, BTS delivered a message of hope to the world by performing this song at the '76th United Nations General Assembly' in 2021. 'Permission to Dance' debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and stayed on the chart for seven consecutive weeks. The song received 'Gold' certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 units.
