Broadcaster Jo Se-ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the recent controversies, including the 'gangster involvement' allegations, and will voluntarily withdraw from the programs he is currently appearing on, such as tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '1 Night 2 Days'.
On the 9th, Jo Se-ho's agency A2Z Entertainment officially announced, "Jo Se-ho will be leaving tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '1 Night 2 Days'."
The agency explained the background of the withdrawal decision, stating, "Jo Se-ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the misunderstandings and rumors raised against him recently," and added, "He is fully aware of the discomfort felt by viewers who love the program, and he hopes that the production team does not carry the burden due to the scrutiny directed at him." Accordingly, it was reported that he decided to withdraw after consulting with the program's production team.
The agency emphasized that they will respond seriously to this matter. "We plan to take legal action to resolve the misunderstandings surrounding Jo Se-ho and to restore his tarnished image more swiftly and firmly in the future," they stated, adding, "We promise to completely dispel all current suspicions and return in a healthy manner."
Additionally, the agency reiterated, "As previously stated in our official position, Jo Se-ho is in no way related to the business of Mr. Choi, who has been implicated. We also clearly state once again that the claim of receiving money and goods from Mr. Choi for business promotion is absolutely not true," denying the related allegations once more.
