Actress Lee Cheong-ah confessed to a hip injury due to the aftereffects of a car accident, sharing the difficulties she faced from missing the treatment timing.
On the 31st, Lee Cheong-ah appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 'Yoo Yeon-seok's Weekend Theater' and shared her recent updates while conversing with fellow actor Yoo Yeon-seok. On this day, Lee Cheong-ah identified 'hip joint' as her main concern, stating that she has been dedicated to recovery, having watched over 100 rehabilitation-related videos.
Lee Cheong-ah was involved in an unexpected car accident last August before filming a drama, injuring her hip joint. However, due to a tight filming schedule, she had to be on set without receiving immediate treatment. She explained, "Missing the golden time caused the pain to spread beyond my hip to my back and neck", describing the serious situation at that time.
In particular, she expressed great frustration as the recovery was delayed due to the combination of performing action scenes, wearing high heels for long periods, and lack of sleep. Consequently, Lee Cheong-ah began studying her own body structure and realized that the hip joint is key to maintaining body balance.
Currently, it is reported that her condition has significantly improved after her diligent efforts, such as minimizing wearing shoes on set. Lee Cheong-ah stated, "As soon as the project ends, I plan to focus on proper rest and recovery," and also recommended the 'bridge exercise' to strengthen the gluteal muscles as a tip for hip joint health.
Meanwhile, despite her injury, Lee Cheong-ah, who has ignited her passion for acting, is set to meet viewers through the new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Their Court' which will premiere on February 2nd.
